West Winds Outdoor Club in town schedule

WEST WINDS WINTER WALKS SCHEDULE 2016-17 West Winds Outdoor Club Winter Walks Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. (unless otherwise noted), November 2017 to April 2018 (Note the November and December walks are listed at the bottom of the web-site list.) This schedule includes both winter walks and club meetings. The walks are on Wednesdays. The walks are weather dependent - usually we cancel when the temperature is below minus 15 degrees C and / or the pathways are too icy. Please use your own judgment. Ice cleats are recommended after the first snowfall. We meet in the designated parking areas. There is no organized car-pooling (except for some out-of-town events) and there are no official leaders. However, if you are familiar with a particular area, please step in and help out. Washroom info is the best we have at time this is written – be prepared for seasonal closures. We may occasionally replace some of the walks with a snow-shoe event, with a few days’ notice. We will advise when that occurs. For a few scheduled walks, we have suggested having picnic lunches afterwards, if it is warm enough. Some of the dates have NOT been confirmed at this time. There may be some changes to the schedule, but notifications will be sent out to all members.
